The range of activities available was off the charts. We went snorkeling and saw the most amazing underwater creatures. We also went cycling and explored the town like true adventurers. It was like living in our own action movie!
The only thing we would've asked for is a better nightlife scene. As young party-going people, we wanted to dance the night away and have some epic late-night adventures.

I recently stayed at Firefly Boutique Lodge for a few days and it was absolutely perfect. The charming and well-preserved Arabic house, with its beautiful decor, created a lovely ambiance. The spacious and clean 4-bed room exceeded my expectations. The highlight was definitely the stunning garden, complete with a refreshing swimming pool and various seating areas to relax. The food and drinks at the bar were delicious and the outdoor toilet and shower facilities were stylish and clean. The friendly and helpful staff added to the overall wonderful experience. I can't wait to visit again!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The rooms at Firefly Boutique Lodge were so cozy and comfortable! I loved the seating area where I could just kick back and relax. It felt like my own little sanctuary after a long day of exploring.
I personally found the breakfast selection to be a bit limited, but hey, it's just my taste. Others might still enjoy it!

The colonial-era building is one-of-a-kind and the pool and bar area are beautifully designed, particularly at night. The atmosphere is lively and the friendly staff create a fun vibe. The included breakfast is superb and not ordinary. The attention to detail and sustainability efforts make it a peaceful haven. The food is amazing and the staff went above and beyond to return a lost item. Incredible value for money. The pool is a highlight as there's not much else to do in the area. Amazing breakfast choices.

The pool and lounge area is like a hidden paradise! Loved the fact that they have a recycling center and a garden full of herbs and plants. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The location was great, with the beach and fish market just a short walk away. The variety of accommodations available, from private rooms to dorms to tents, was impressive.
The menu was quite limited and didn't offer much for vegetarians like us. The breakfast was just average, nothing special.

Firefly Boutique Lodge in Bagamoyo is the perfect place to relax for a few days. the location is excellent, with easy access to the dala dala stand, fish market, beach, and other places of interest. the hotel itself, although in need of renovation, has a charming atmosphere. the pool is a nice addition, especially during hot days. the staff is friendly and the breakfast is incredible. the rooms are simple but clean, with elements of the past Arab times nicely incorporated into the design.
The best part is the beautiful garden, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Cons: Nothing could have been better.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even organizing a guide for us. They really went above and beyond to assist with anything we needed. the attention to detail in the decor was impressive, and the refurbished vintage style added to the charm. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with the option for a slightly more luxurious experience on the upstairs floor. the photos online don't do justice to how beautiful this place is!
Felt safe, nothing to complain about.
